Beaucaire

From Beaucaire on the edge of the Rhône and its canal, you can admire the city from the hill on which a medieval castle majestically sits. Within the walls of the castle, you will find an elegant garden with trees and the Auguste Jacquet archaeological museum. The lower town also has some wonderful surprises in store for you: superb residences and private mansions from the 16th and 17th centuries (the Hôtel de Clausonnette, the Hôtel de Margallier, the Maison des Cariatides and the Hôtel de Ville), not to mention the charming 18th century Notre-Dame-des-Pommiers church.
To complete your visit, on the other side of the Rhone, 3km from the hotel, visit Tarscon and its famous castle of King René and Collegiate Church of Ste Marthe, half Gothic, half Romanesque church.
