The Luberon

The Luberon is a massif of the Pre-Alps located in Provence, straddling the departments of the Vaucluse and the Alpes de Haute Provence. Tourists are attracted by the presence of numerous villages, castles and historical monuments. It is also an ideal place for lovers of hiking, natural spaces and cultural visits.
Among the essentials in the Luberon:
Many villages of character: Gordes, Lacoste, Ménerbes, Cavaillon, Lourmarin, and above all, Roussillon, classified among the most beautiful villages in France, whose stones, roofs and facades offer a shimmering palette of warm colors. Also located in the heart of the largest ocher deposit in the world, with its landscaped hiking trail.
The Sénanque abbey, surrounded by lavender fields, the symbol of Provence. A short stop at the Lavender Museum to find out more.

Among the local products of Provence, a gourmet break at the Musée des fruits confits du Pays d’Apt (the world capital of candied fruit) remains a sure bet.
